Wild Cassowary close

Description

The Cassowary Coast is home to the endangered Southern Cassowary, a prehistoric and majestic flightless bird. They can be encountered as a traffic hazard on the road (as this one was), and also while walking through the gorgeous Daintree rainforest in the region. They can be aggressive if not given enough space, and with people doing the wrong thing by feeding them, have been known to intimidate people while looking for food.
